KNOXVILLE, Iowa (delayed)(September 6) – Ryan Humphrey of Oskaloosa captured the annual Fall Enduro Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway. The Mahaska county driver received $1,000 for his efforts on the half-mile oval.

The 200-lap race saw Mitch Enfield of Melcher-Dallas leading after 25 laps. Shortly thereafter he was overtaken by Mike Goff, Lacona and Dann Van Dee, Deep River. Goff would soon drop from the event leaving Van Dee with the lead at the 50-lap mark. At this point, Humphrey was running second with Enfield in the third spot.

At the half-way point (100 laps) Van Dee still led the event but Humphrey was catching him as they sorted though lap traffic. It was one hour and fifteen minutes into the race that Humphrey took the top spot for good. After that point it was just a matter of who was going to take second. In the end Enfield took the runner-up spot followed by Andy DeJong of Moravia, Terry Darnell of Otley and Tyler Brooks of Knoxville.

The 200-lap event was run in one hour and 50 minutes with twenty cars still running out of the 56 registered entrants. Eight red flags halted the race, mostly for debris on the track.
