National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Announces – 2nd Floor Bricks Now Available

Knoxville, Iowa (February 24, 2009) – The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum announces today the inclusion of the second floor brick wall to the “A Brick at a Time” donor program. “The bricks between the elevator doors on the second floor are now up for adoption,” commented Hall of Fame executive director Bob Baker. While there are still bricks available in the entryway and the Jimmy Campbell Lobby, and on the memorial wall inside the Donald Lamberti National Sprint Car Museum, the numbers there are becoming limited. The second floor donor bricks, like the others, are available for a one-time donation of $250 and are permanently inscribed. The bricks are a great way to honor or memorialize individuals, or simply recognize a contribution supporting the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. The addition of the second floor “A Brick at a Time” wall comes in conjunction with the completion of the Pella Corporation National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Theatre and the Research Center and Library. The Research Center and Library is now open for use while the Hall of Fame and Theatre are scheduled for completion sometime in April. A Grand Opening ceremony for the Pella Corporation National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Theatre and the Research Center and Library has been scheduled for Friday night, May 1. The reception will get under way at 7 p.m., ending about 9 p.m. Those attending the reception will enjoy viewing the new Hall of Fame, watching movies and short stories in the Theatre, and visiting the Research Center and Library. Drinks and snacks will be served from a new catering kitchen that has also been part of the winter additions on the second floor of the Hall of Fame & Museum. Admission to the grand opening reception is free and the staff at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is looking forward to hosting the reception in honor of the new additions made possible by donations from the Pella Corporation and the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company.
