Weekly Update - 40 laps/Stewart/Midgets/Pella Motors!

(Bill W) March 27, 2009 - Things have been hopping at the Knoxville Raceway this week! Leading the news was the announcement that the 49th Annual SuperClean Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil will be capped off by a 40-lap feature! The response from drivers and fans has been tremendous, and remember you can order tickets by going to the "Tickets" section, or by calling 641 842-5431!

Along those lines, driver entry forms for both the SuperClean Knoxville Nationals and the 19th Annual 360 Nationals are available in the "Entry Forms" section. Also, look for entry forms for the Knoxville Nationals Queen Contest to be added this weekend! Early entry is encouraged to all events.

Exciting news surrounded the point structure in the quest for the Knoxville Championship Cup this week, as the 410 class and 360 class will both operate under the traditional 360 point structure. The difference will reward drivers who move forward in their heats (in draw shows). They will get an additional 1.5 points for each position they move forward in their heat!

Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman are the latest entries in the 6th Annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals presented by SuperClean. The Sprint Cup Stewart-Haas teammates should be formidable competitors for the event scheduled for October 1-3. Tickets are available now!

Purse and format information for the 8th Annual Pepsi Knoxville Midget Nationals presented by Iowa Telecom has been updated in the "Events" section. Look for a release and entry form information for drivers in the next couple of days on the event that is commencing May 29 and 30.

Finally, news came in that Pella Motors and Chevrolet will partner with Knoxville Raceway. The partnership includes two trucks and a courtesy vehicle.

News is coming on a daily basis. Stay tuned. Until next week!
