Knoxville Regulars Alley and Cornell Pick Up I-80 Wins!

(Bill W) Billy Alley and Jonathan Cornell picked up feature wins over the weekend in ASCS-Midwest/Northern Plains co-sanctioned events on Friday and Saturday at I-80 Speedway at Nebraska Raceway Park in Greenwood, Nebraska. Both were paid $1,500 in $2 bills for their wins.
Alley's win came from outside row six on Friday night. By lap nine, he was in the lead. The Lincoln, Nebraska native plans to try for his second Knoxville Championship Cup 410 title (2006) this season.
Cornell, from Sedalia, Missouri, took the lead from Wade Nygaard on lap ten on Saturday night, and led the rest of the way. Cornell will compete for Rookie of the Year honors with the 360 class in 2009.
Practice night is scheduled at Knoxville this Saturday night, with the Season Opener commencing on April 25.
